End of tenancy cleaning in East London: seven very different boroughs
East London is not one rental market. Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham are among the most heavily rented parts of the capital, where private renting outweighs or closely matches home ownership. Waltham Forest and Redbridge sit in the middle, with terraced streets and suburban semis. Barking and Dagenham and Havering are the outer end, with more family houses and larger gardens.
We cover all seven: Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham, and Havering. Each has its own page with local detail, and the postcodes run from E1 and E2 in the inner east through E14 and E15 to IG and RM towns on the Essex border. Whatever the borough, the job is the same: every room back to inventory standard so your deposit has the best chance of coming back in full.
Moving between boroughs is common here too. Tenants leave a Hackney flatshare for a Walthamstow terrace, or a Stratford studio for a house in Ilford, and the end of one tenancy is often squeezed against the start of the next. That is why weekend and same-week slots matter, and why a fixed, agreed price helps you plan your move-out budget.
02
What you are moving out of
In the inner east you will find warehouse conversions, new-build towers with concierge desks, ex-council blocks and Victorian terraces split into flats. Moving further out, the stock shifts to two-storey terraces, 1930s semis and the interwar cottage estates of Dagenham and Harold Hill.
That mix changes the work. Towers and lofts mean big areas of glazing, open-plan kitchens and heavy limescale in bathrooms, because London's water is hard. Older terraces tend to have sash or casement windows with deep tracks, and condensation marks around window reveals. Family houses bring more rooms, more cupboards and a longer list of skirting boards, doors and radiators. The end of tenancy cleaning checklist shows what is covered in each room.
03
Access, parking and keys across the east
Parking changes a lot between the inner and outer boroughs. In Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham, controlled parking zones (CPZ) and pay-and-display bays are the norm, and some estates and docklands developments have their own rules. In Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham and Havering, many homes have driveways or easier kerbside parking.
Wherever a parking cost applies, we tell you before you book, so nothing appears on the day. Key collection and return can be arranged with your agent, a concierge or a neighbour, which suits tenants who have already moved across town. Weekend and same-week slots are available throughout the region.

Prices and the deposit-back guarantee in East London
Prices are fixed and include VAT. A room in a flatshare starts at £95, a studio at £159, a one bed at £189, a two bed at £235, a three bed at £289, a four bed at £349 and a five bed house at £429. The oven interior is £55, a standard fridge or freezer is £25, and a washing machine and dishwasher together are £19. These are add-ons, not part of the base clean. Carpet cleaning is arranged through an independent partner and confirmed separately.
Every clean comes with our deposit-back guarantee, backed by a 72-hour re-clean: if your agent or landlord raises a cleaning point within the agreed work, tell us within 72 hours of completion and we return to re-clean it free. See the full price list for details.
Landlords and letting agents across the east can book on behalf of tenants, and a single clean at a fixed price is easier to agree than a deduction argued over later. Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019 a landlord cannot require a tenant to pay for a professional clean, so most tenants book one themselves to protect their deposit.
One fixed price for the whole property, agreed before we book. No hourly rate and nothing added on the day.

01How much does end of tenancy cleaning cost in East London?
Prices are fixed and agreed before booking, VAT included. A studio starts at £159, a one bed at £189, a two bed at £235 and a three bed at £289. The same prices apply across all seven East London boroughs. The oven interior is £55 extra, and carpets are arranged separately through a partner.
02Do you cover the outer east, such as Havering and Redbridge?
Yes. We cover all 32 London boroughs, including Havering, Redbridge and Barking and Dagenham. Prices stay the same as inner east areas such as Hackney. We can usually offer weekend and same-week slots, and any parking cost is told to you before you book.
03Can you collect keys from my letting agent in East London?
Yes. Key collection and return can be arranged with agents, concierge desks or neighbours. This is common in towers around Canary Wharf and Stratford, and for tenants who have moved elsewhere before the clean. Tell us when booking and we will agree the handover.
04What if my agent finds a cleaning problem after the clean?
Tell us within 72 hours of completion. If the point falls within the agreed work, we return and re-clean it free. This sits behind our deposit-back guarantee. Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, deductions must reflect the check-in condition, allowing for fair wear and tear.
