End of tenancy cleaning Brixton: conversions, estates and shared houses
BeforeAfter⟷
Before & after: the inside of an oven. Drag to compare.
Brixton has one of the most varied rental markets in south London. Around Brixton Hill, Tulse Hill and the streets off Acre Lane and Coldharbour Lane, tall Victorian houses are split into flats, often with a basement or garden flat and a loft conversion at the top. Closer to the centre are ex-council blocks and low-rise estates, many now let privately, and newer flats near the market and station.
The large Victorian houses are often let as shared homes with four or five bedrooms. Sinks, hobs and extractors have often had years of heavy use, bathrooms are shared, and rooms run off long landings. We clean every bedroom inside wardrobes and drawers as well as the kitchen and bathrooms, with floors vacuumed and mopped.
Ex-council blocks tend to be solid, with large windows and balconies but older fittings. Sealant, tile grout and taps pick up limescale and the odd damp patch from condensation. Our end of tenancy clean in Brixton descales taps, screens, shower heads, tiles and grout, and cleans the extractor fan cover.

Who rents in Brixton and timing the move-out
Brixton is a magnet for creatives, musicians, young professionals and students, many drawn by the market, Brixton Village and the music venues. The Victoria line makes it fast to reach the West End, and Brixton station also has National Rail services. Others are long-standing residents and families renting around Angell Town, Loughborough Junction and Brixton Hill.
Many tenancies are joint and some move out on tight dates, such as when a new share is lined up the next day. A weekend or same-week slot can fit that gap. A room in a flatshare is from £95.
Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019 a landlord cannot require tenants to pay for a professional clean, but can deduct from the deposit for cleaning needed to return the home to its check-in condition, allowing for fair wear and tear. See our deposit-back guarantee.

Parking, red routes and access in Brixton
Brixton Road, Brixton Hill, Acre Lane and Coldharbour Lane are busy, with red route stretches and loading limits. Side streets are in controlled parking zones run by Lambeth, and the market area has its own restrictions. Brixton is outside the Congestion Charge zone. Any parking cost is told to you before you book.
Conversions and estates are mostly walk-ups, sometimes with an entry phone or a shared front door, so give us your floor number and entry details. Keys can be collected from agents, neighbours or a concierge and returned after the clean.

03How do you handle red routes and permits in Brixton?
We check the street before the clean. Any parking cost is told to you before booking, and for walk-up buildings we ask for your floor number and entry details so the team can plan access.
