Merton is the south-west London borough that links Wimbledon in the north with Morden and Mitcham in the south, taking in Colliers Wood, South Wimbledon, Raynes Park and Merton Park along the way. It has some of the capital's best transport for its price, with the District line, Northern line, Thameslink and Tramlink all running through it.

The rental stock splits clearly. Around Wimbledon town centre and the Broadway there are modern flat blocks and period conversions. Wimbledon Village and Wimbledon Park have large Victorian and Edwardian houses. Colliers Wood has new apartment blocks by the Tower and station. Further south, Morden, Mitcham and Raynes Park are mostly interwar semis and terraces with gardens, popular with families.
